Mr. Hernandez is a Director of La Puente Valley County Water District and has served since November 2009. Prior to his election to the Board, he served on the City of La Puente Planning Commission and Redevelopment Board.

Mr. Hernandez is currently retired from the local DOD Government Quality Assurance workforce group, where he had worked for 40 years and 8 months. He worked with over 15 contractor facilities under his cognizant supervision. The main contractor facility manufactures desalination/reverse osmosis units for water purification. His certification included ISO 9000 Quality Assurance and NDT. He is a graduate of La Puente High School.

Mr. Rojas is currently a Director of the La Puente Valley County Water District and was appointed August 2009. In November 2011, he was also successful in his run for office for a four-year term and has served on the Board ever since. Additionally, he represents the district as a Director for the Association of California Water Agencies – Joint Powers Insurance Authority (ACWA JPIA), and as a Director for the Los Angeles County First District Consolidated Oversight Board (LACOB).

Prior to his appointment to the Water Board, he served 15 years on the City of La Puente Planning Commission and Development Review Board. In 2010, he also served as chairman of the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District Facilities Advisory Committee.

Mr. Rojas retired from the California State Department of Transportation as a Transportation Engineer after serving over 38 years and is now currently employed by CNC Engineering as a Senior Construction Inspector. Born and raised in La Puente, he graduated from La Puente High School and attended Cal Poly University in Pomona.
